Supergrass
Diamond Hoo Ha

Due for release last summer, Supergrass's sixth studio album was put on hold whilst bassist Mick Quinn recovered from the crushed spine and heel injuries sustained when he inadvertently walking [sic] out of a first floor window. Now on the road to recovery, Quinn and the band should enjoy the plaudits this album's worth. Now too far away from Britpop to have to rail against it, Diamond Hoo Ha is a sterling effort, and Gaz Coombes plays a blinder when called upon to deliver serrated riffage (Return Of Inspiration) or some raucous good-time rock'n'roll (Ghost Of A Friend).
