With five Top Ten singles to their name, Supergrass have a richly deserved reputation as one of the best singles band around. But they've just had an even bigger accolade - a remix courtesy of Ali G, the dopiest man in Britain, for his new telly show. They might be more concerned, though with plugging their third, eponymous album, a more experimental work than the previous two. They're still one of the funniest, most uplifting live acts in the country - just not so young, and not so green. Still nice teeth though. Supergrass play Liverpool Royal Court (October 1), Glasgow Barrowlands (2), Newcastle University of Northumbria (3) and Nottingham Rock City (5).
