Isn't it always the way... you go away for a couple of weeks and important news starts creeping through. The first confirmed US tour dates are here, yes that's US TOUR DATES! February 2003 sees Supergrass visiting Brooklyn, New York and Los Angeles. No doubt there will be more dates announced soon, along with a release date for the Life On Other Planets album. Look out for a full, post-holiday update of the site this weekend.

Supergrass were named as having the best Rock/Indie website in the annual Online Music Awards held at the BT Tower last night, an award they also won back in 2000. The awards were organised by BT Openworld to celebrate the best in the UK’s interactive music industry and were judged by a specialist panel of industry experts. The other nominations in the category were Coldplay, Idlewild, Radiohead and U2.

I'm sorry I can't reply to all the people e-mailing with the following questions individually, but there's just not enough time in the day. The questions regarding both the release of Life On Other Planets in the US, and a tour in North America, can both be answered with the same answer: I don't know for sure. The only news I have is that the album is pencilled in for release in Q1 2003, with the tour following shortly afterwards. However, I must stress that nothing at all has been confirmed yet, but I will have full details on the site as soon as I hear anything.
Thursday 07 November 2002
Another tab for you today, this time it's Seen The Light from Kevin Burgess. Thankyou very much.

I've been a bit slack with updating recently, but today I've updated a whole load of things. Listed below are just a few of the things I've done...
A few more setlists have made it onto the site, thanks to Alastair Ruffel, Andy McDonald and Matt Dix for helping out there.
The Reader Reviews
Alastair Ruffel was also kind enough to send in a review of the Belfast show, for which I am grateful. If you've been to one of the gigs recently feel free to send me a short review for the site.
And finally, a quick note regarding the US release of Life On Other Planets due to the number of e-mails I've been receiving which I haven't had the chance to reply to yet: Unfortunately a release date has not been set yet, although it is believed it may be February next year. As soon as I hear a confirmed date I'll send out a newsletter so, if you haven't already, subscribe now.
Sunday 20 October 2002
It's Microsite mania this weekend! Well, there's two anyway...
The first one, which is quite clearly the best, is the new L.O.O.P. Microsite which Mick has somehow managed to make in between touring and all the other promo stuff the band have been up to recently. You can listen to some demos of tracks from the new album, and... well, just go and have a look yourself, there's loads of cool stuff to play with!
The second microsite is from the BBC and is part of their updated Top Of The Pops 2 site. Amongst other things, you can sit and relive some of Supergrass's past TOTP performances.
Sunday 06 October 2002
Another review, this time from the All Music Guide which was sent in to me by Timothy Riel - thanks Timothy!
Saturday 05 October 2002
More reviews of Life On Other Planets have been collected for your reading pleasure. If you find any I don't have, please send them to me and I'll put them on the site, and give you a mention.
Friday 04 October 2002

Wednesday 02 October 2002
Mick and Gaz will be joining Jonathan Ross on his Radio 2 show this Saturday between 10am and 1pm. And, as well as an interview, they will be performing a couple of acoustic songs.

It's the weekend, so what better way to celebrate, than with a competition? It's been a long while since the last Strangeones competition, but I've got a little corker. How do you fancy winning a free copy of the hard-to-get Never Done Nothing Like That Before 7" single? You do? Well, I've got 5 up for grabs but.... you're going to have to find the secret competition entry form first! The link is on a hidden pop-up somewhere on the site... but I'm not telling you where. You'll have to get clicking (wink, wink) if you're going to find it. Good luck to you all!
Wednesday 21 August 2002
Not really a tour date as such, but it's the nearest section I could find. Supergrass are recording an appearance for ITV1's CD:UK TV show on Saturday 14 September 2002 and you, yes YOU, could be in the audience. The following rules (not mine) apply:
1. You can get to Waterloo, London on 14 September 2002 (at approx 2pm)
2. You're aged between 16 and 30
3. You have valid photographic ID
If you can comply with the above, call 0207 240 2828 (or +44 207 240 2828 if you're outside the UK), ask to speak to either Sophie or Corrina and see if they have any tickets left.
Saturday 17 August 2002
The first reader reviews of 2002 are in, and thanks once again go to my good friend in Holland, Leo Hoek van Dijke. Read Leo's reviews of Never Done Nothing Like That Before and Grace.

There were a few e-mail addressed rejected because of spelling mistakes in them, so please remember to take care and make sure you spell your e-mail address correctly when filling in the form.
Click here if you want to join in the fun! I'm expecting lots of juicy info over the next couple of months, and you'll be among the first to find out if you're on the list!
Monday 20 May 2002
The other Australian dates have been announced for July. If you live in or around Fremantle, Perth or Sydney, you're in luck, but hey, if you're not, why not travel right across Australia to see them. It'd be worth the trip. |Tuesday 07 May 2002|
A set list of the recent Essential Festival appearance has been added, many thanks to Paul Day for sending me it. If you didn't already know, click on the gig date to see the set list and see the titles of those new songs. Oh, and please remember, the titles may change before the new album is released.
The album is neeeeeearly done. There's just the final little bits to sort out, which hopefully means don't have too much longer to wait until we can go out and buy it.
Wednesday 01 May 2002
Just to let you know, so you don't all complain, the Windows Media samples are disappearing from The Music. But don't fear, because the Real Audio files will be staying exactly where they are. I haven't decided yet, but the Windows Media files might be back later...

Two more dates have been confirmed, but unfortunately they're for the students of the two universities involved only. But hey, that's life.
Oh, and all you Australians out there, keep an eye out for some news you might like. Supergrass wouldn't go all that way just to play one festival.... would they?

Well, I'm finally putting in an appearance this year. My hibernation has been disturbed, so I thought I might start the site's spring clean early. Happy New Year!
This has been picked through, and all the dead links chucked out. Good bye!
And here I've straightened up a couple of things, and added the odd shiny new bit, but nothing too important. Thanks to Leo for the new scans he sent me.
